Frequently Asked Questions
1. Am I fit enough to take Krav Maga classes?
The great thing about Krav Maga is that you can use it regardless or your age, fitness or skill level. All you need to do is work as hard as you feel comfortable. The instructor will never push you farther. You will build up your fitness over time in class with the small cardio and push-up and sit-up components. This will also increase your mobility, effectiveness and self-confidence.
2. I have a physical injury. Can I still train?
Absolutely you can still train. You must understand your body's limitations and ensure you train within those limitations. Inform the instructor before coming to class and they can help you modify some technique where it makes sense.
3. I've been in traumatic situations in the past. How do I make sure I don't get triggered?
This is understandable and a common reason why people choose to come train with us - so those traumatic situations don't happen again. Inform the instructor before coming to class so they're aware of triggers. The class will help you build confidence around protecting yourself in the event of physical confrontation.
4. I have no experience with self-defence training and am nervous. What's the best way to start?
The best way to start is to start! The instructor is open to meeting you ahead of time so you can get a sense of what he's like and give you peace that you're in safe hands. Then register and get started. Your confidence will build with time!
